Originally from Canada’s west coast, Alec grew up surrounded by the outdoor lifestyle that continues to shape both his personal life and his work as a physiotherapist. In 2011, he moved to Vancouver Island after his wife accepted a position in Victoria, and the community quickly became home.
Alec completed his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia in 2007 before earning his Master of Physical Therapy from UBC in 2011. Since graduating, he has spent his entire physiotherapy career serving the Greater Victoria community, helping people recover from injury, build resilience, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Victoria’s active and outdoor-oriented culture makes it a place where movement is a central part of everyday life. Whether it’s hiking local trails, cycling, running, or simply staying active with family and friends, Alec enjoys working with a community that values health and physical activity.
Alec believes that physiotherapy is about more than just recovering from injury. It is about helping people understand their bodies, build confidence in how they move, and develop the resilience needed to stay active for the long term. His goal is to support people in moving with greater ease and freedom so they can continue to enjoy the activities and lifestyles that make living on Vancouver Island so special.
